Hi! I’m Emily.
I was born and raised in St. Mary’s County and have always considered it home. As a military spouse, I spent several years moving back and forth between the West Coast and Maryland. While those experiences allowed me to meet people from many different backgrounds, they also showed me how important it is to have a place that feels grounded and supportive. Eventually, my husband and I decided to settle back here in the community that raised me.
Becoming a therapist has always been about more than just a career for me. I’m deeply passionate about creating a space where people feel understood, supported, and not alone in the struggles they’re facing. Life can be incredibly difficult at times, and reaching out for help is often one of the hardest steps someone can take.
It means a great deal to me to be able to bring these services back to my hometown and serve the community that shaped who I am. My goal is to offer a warm, compassionate space where clients can feel safe exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and centered around you as a whole person — not just the challenges you're facing. I draw from a mix of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to what feels most helpful for each individual. I also offer EMDR for those who are interested in processing trauma in a deeper way. Above all, I strive to create a space that feels non-judgmental and supportive, where you can be seen for who you are, not just what you’re going through. Therapy does not have to feel stiff or clinical!
