Payment

I don’t work with insurance so that therapy can be fully tailored to your needs. Insurance companies often limit the type and duration of care they cover, which can make it difficult to provide long-term support or specialized treatments, like EMDR, when they’re most helpful. Working privately allows us to focus on what truly matters for you, rather than what a third-party payer will approve.

A major reason I choose self-pay is privacy: insurance requires a mental health diagnosis to cover services, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. Self-pay ensures that what we discuss in therapy stays between us, creating a safe and confidential space.

This approach also allows therapy to move at a pace that’s right for you, whether that means shorter-term support for a specific challenge or longer-term work to address deeper patterns. My goal is to provide personalized, ethical care that prioritizes your growth, well-being, and sense of safety — without the limitations often imposed by insurance.

Superbill:

Although I do not directly accept insurance, I can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is an itemized receipt of the services you receive in therapy, including the CPT codes and session details your insurance company may require. You can submit this to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.

This allows you to maintain the flexibility, privacy, and personalized care of self-pay therapy while still having the option to seek reimbursement from your insurance if you choose.

Session Fees:

  • Initial Intake/Assessment: $175 (75-90 minutes)

  • Standard Individual Therapy: $150 (50-60 minutes)
